Animal Partners are the adorable animals that participate in Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT.) These animals typically include dogs, horses, cats, rabbits, and birds. However, an animal partner may also include alpacas, pigs, ducks, chickens, rats, guinea pigs, llamas, donkeys, cows, reptiles and even elephants.
Animal Partners must have a great relationship with their handler. They enjoy meeting new people and visiting different places and environments. Animal partners must be healthy and obedient. Not all animals or pets make good animal partners. Animal partners should be evaluated and registered by well-known Animal- Assisted Therapy Organizations such as: Delta Society.
